Public Domain Books Cover Design & Typesetting
This project started out as an appreciation gift for the volunteers of Heroic Life Discipleship. They asked that I create a cover design for The Psalms of David by Isaac Watts. Because the book was originally written in the 1700s we wanted the book to have a vintage feel and not look commercially mass produced. We established the style for the book and were very pleased with the simple yet elegant design. Not long after producing the first book the team requested that I design a cover for The Deeper Christian Life by Andrew Murray. They wanted this next book to look like part of the same family as the first. I created the vintage water-well for the cover and spine and kept the font style and layout very similar to the first book. The Heroic Life team were so pleased with pair of books that they decided to continue with the same style for the whole series of public domain books.
